History

For more than 35 years, some of America’s most dependable and well-known appliance and automotive brands have relied on Henderson Stamping and Production, Inc. to produce their decorative and non-decorative stampings and assemblies.

Having created a business plan to provide medium- and high-volume stampings, Jimmy and Betty Porter incorporated Henderson Stamping in 1981. Their dream was built on the foundation of Jimmy’s expertise in tooling. The Porters began their entrepreneurial journey in Henderson, Tennessee, in a 4,000-squarefoot building with several presses under 200 tons and a significant assembly operation.

After 35 years of growth, Henderson Stamping is an international stamping supplier in a 100,000-square-foot facility. Top industries rely on the Henderson plant for powder coating and medium- to high-volume stampings.

The Henderson Stamping team has continually procured the latest computerized systems, machining and measuring equipment and robotics. Understanding the importance of offering you the best product possible, they incorporate lean manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques.

Quality

Henderson Stamping knows that before your first part is ever made, it is vital to design a plan that will eliminate any possibility of shipping non-conforming products. Utilizing Advanced Quality Planning Tools (APQP), such as PFMEA, control plans, process flow charting and PPAP, they evaluate and understand your stamping needs and expectations. They then implement a manufacturing process that ensures production of a quality product that meets your expectations. Highly trained and skilled press technicians, who understand the complexities of producing superior stampings, participate in this quality process.

Dedicated to being a partner you can rely on, Henderson Stamping measures key systems for effectiveness on a world-class metric tracking program. This provides ongoing information about key operating and performance variables and ensures continuous operating improvement. Henderson Stamping utilizes Kaizen/Lean, Six Sigma, cellular manufacturing, 5s and SPC continuous improvement tools to maximize efficiencies and quality. Their quality system incorporates first-part approval, periodic process audits, last-part layout and SPC.

The knowledge and abilities of Henderson Stamping’s craftsmen ensure unsurpassed responsiveness in tooling repair. A computerized preventative maintenance system tracks every movement of each tool, ensuring that maintenance and repairs are perfectly timed and safeguarding against breakdowns and unplanned interruptions.
